Photo Smurf Adventure visited the lighthouse Montauk at the Ostkünste US At the easternmost point of Long Iceland the Montauk Lighthouse is located.  Montauk Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse in the United States. Today the  lighthouse is part of the National Historic Landmark. Photo Schlumpfs  Abenteurreisen has already 2x visit the lighthouse. The first time was in 1998 and  then 15 years later in the autumn-2013.  The lighthouse on the Turtke Mountain is located at the end of the Montauk  Highway. Admission is $ 9 for adults, $ 4 for children. (September 2013). At the  lighthouse there is a pay parking.  The construction of the lighthouse was already decided on 12 April 1792 George  Washington. Construction began in June 1796 - the completion was then in  November of the same year. The beacon flashes every 5 seconds, and is about 17  nautical miles to see, which corresponds to about 31 km away.  Over time, the lighthouse was rebuilt several times and expanded. The lighting  levels improved. Photo Smurf Adventure was not on the lighthouse. The view  must surely be great, but the photo opportunities that were from the outside for  a walk on the beaches around the Lighthouse also great. Too bad that is not  enough time to the next morning to experience one of the spectacular sunrises on the turret. Incidentally, it should still be a treasure at the foot of the lighthouse Montauk,  which was hidden by the pirate Captain Kidd there. To date he was allegedly not  found again. Legend or truth.
